He's missing his left hand. When I was younger, he told me numerous stories over what happened to it. One of those stories involved being attacked by a dog.

The truth of it is at least as bad. He got it caught in a meat grinder when he was a teenager. They weren't particularly safe back then.

You can expect the "every other day" trend to continue for a little while longer, but I'm working on it.
