I was driving home from Kortnee's house and they were doing a fireworks display downtown. At first, I was just annoyed because it kept trying to distract me from my highway driving. But then I realized that I couldn't hear it. It wasn't until I got home and out of the car that I finally heard it. I was reminded of my old boss giving me this tip several years ago. I felt it was my patriotic duty to pass it on.
